There is no single official “correct” dose for every person who buys a TUDCA supplement. Labels and research papers use different amounts. Use this page as a map, not a prescription.

Common supplement ranges

Many consumer products suggest about 250-500 mg per day for general use. Some bottles use 250 mg capsules (one or two per day). Others use 500 mg capsules. UK products that combine TUDCA with NAC sometimes list higher TUDCA amounts per daily serving (for example 750-800 mg).

What clinical research has used

Human studies have used a wide spread of doses. Some metabolic work used amounts around 1,750 mg per day for a short period. Other research contexts use different schedules. Higher research doses do not automatically mean you should match them at home.

Do not copy trial doses without adviceClinical protocols are supervised. They may exclude people with certain conditions and monitor bloodwork. A website cannot know your medical history.

How to read a label

  • Per capsule vs per serving - these can differ.
  • Proprietary blends - if TUDCA is inside a blend without its own milligram amount, you cannot judge the dose.
  • Serving size - a “1,200 mg serving” may mean several capsules, not one.

Timing

Follow the product label unless your clinician says otherwise. Some people take TUDCA with food; some labels suggest morning use. Consistency matters more than perfect timing folklore.
